Who Is It For/Demographics?
MillionaireMatch doesn’t hide who it’s aimed at.
In fact, the name is a dead giveaway.
Go to the landing page where you register for the site and you are told in no uncertain terms that it’s the leading millionaire dating service in the world.
And the basic premise is this.
MillionaireMatch pairs up successful singles with attractive singles and vice versa.
Those that run the site go to great pains to stress, however, that this is not a sugar daddy/sugar baby dating site at all.
So yes, it’s a very interesting concept for a dating site and if the user numbers are to believed, one that the online dating world has been crying out for.
User numbers and other interesting tidbits
I’m not going to lie.
I am not sure that I believe the user numbers that MillionaireMatch claims.
And claim them they do.
In fact, it’s proudly displayed on the registration page of MillionaireMatch for all to see.
And that number is 4,748,000+ at the current count.
Is that believable?
Well, are any of the user numbers believable for dating sites, especially if they proclaim them themselves?
But yes, almost 5 million people have signed up to be users on the site.
I suppose it’s plausible.
After all, MillionaireMatch isn’t a new dating site.
In fact, it’s been around since 2001.
Here are a few more interesting figures for you to consider:
- Around 2.6 million users are from the United States
- Over 2 million conversations between users take place each year
- Over 3 000 logins take place daily
- That’s 21 000 per week and 84 000 each month
So yes, it’s a busy site, that’s for sure.
User gender ratio and age ranges
Getting exact figures for the gender ratio on site was a little tough but from what I could find out, it was close to a 50/50 split when it comes to male and female profiles.
But what about the age ranges?
Well, the age group with most users on site was the 45-54 year-olds.
That was followed by the 35-44 year-olds, 55 and older age group, the 25-34-year-olds and lastly, the 18-24-year olds.
The first three age group certainly make sense in terms of providing the most users.
Making money takes time, right?
So yes, it’s pretty obvious that the biggest age groups on the site would include the three oldest groups in terms of age.
Ease of Use
MillionaireMatch provides a simple sign up process.
But be warned, your profile isn’t put online until you’ve officially been approved by site admins.
In this way, the powers that be behind the site claim that it has no fake profiles at all.
The registration process itself takes a couple of minutes.
First you have to:
- Choose your gender (only two choices, male or female)
- The gender you are seeking (again, only two choices, male or female)
- Your age
- Your email address
- Your mobile phone number (for security purposes to let you log in for the first time)
After this first step, you will receive a security code to your mobile phone that you have to input.
That takes you to the next stage of registration where you will need to provide:
- Your first name
- Your user name
- A password
Once you’ve provided that, you get to the next stage where the following information is required:
- Zip/Postal Code
- Annual income
- Relationship status
After that, you need to:
- Upload a profile picture
- Come up with a catchy profile headline
- Write a short description of yourself
- Write a short description of what you are looking for in a match
Once you’ve done all that, as an extra layer of security, MillionaireMatch will send you an email with a second code that you need to put in before you can access the site.
Initially, this could didn’t come through and I had to have it resent.
But eventually, I was able to access the site for the first time.
In total, it took about 10 minutes to complete the registration process.
The MillionaireMatch Profile
I want to talk a little about what you can expect when it comes to your profile on MillionaireMatch because while you’ve provided some of the information for it during the registration process, it’s not yet finished.
First up, to make sure you are even more of a catch you can verify both your photo and your income.
This tells other users that you are who you say you are and you earn what you claim to earn.
That’s pretty important on a dating website such as this.
There are five menus with seperate sections that you need to fill out to complete your profile fully.
- Profile: Which includes profile headline, about me, about my match, my questions to match, the business I own or run, how I achieved my success and how I keep my body in shape.
- Photos: Which includes public photos, private photos and luxury photos
- More about me: Which includes first date ideas, we should go on a date if, details about my job, my dislikes, my video introduction, my favorite jokes, personalized information
- Comments: Here other users leave testimonials about you
- Questions: Here you answer a range of questions that help the site facilitate matchups for you
Of course, under the first menu “Profile” there are all the regular bits of information that you expect for a dating profile.
I am talking about appearance parameters, lifestyle parameters and more.
There is a lot to fill in here but it’s well worth it at the end of the day, especially with the type of dating site this is.
Navigating the MillionaireMatch site
Before I get to finding your way around this unique dating site, I want to talk a little bit about its overall design.
It does have a social networking feel about it.
That’s because, on the main page, you can see updates from other members, for example, if they upload a new photograph or if they updated a certain part of their profile.
That’s a nice little touch I feel.
From a design point of view, the website is a pretty simple modular design if a little bland.
And it’s bland because there is just a lack of color.
Everything is black and white, even the MillionaireMatch name on the website could be a little clearer.
The only splashes of color come from the user photos that you will see in the “new members” or the “you might like” section.
You’d think a site that’s about the status and prestige of half the user base could at least make the site look a little more appealing.
But I guess it’s not only about looks but how it functions too.
So then let’s talk about how you navigate your way around the site.
What MillionaireMatch loses because of its bland appearance, it more than makes up in the ease of use it offers.
You are mainly going to use the menu system that you will find at the top of the screen.
Although there are other ways to access certain parts of the site, these are all that you need really.
And they are:
- Home: If you want to return to the home screen where you can see other user updates, click on this menu
- Discover: Here you will find a range of sub-menus, all of which help you to launch different searches, many of which you can only access as a member of the site, for example, a location-based search.
- My Lists: There’s so much interesting information under this menu. For example, you can see who has winked at your or viewed your profile. You can also see the profiles of users you have favorited or liked.
- Community: First date ideas, blogs, members’ and a roulette-style match game called Spark are all found under this menu. You can also find details of MillionaireMatch events where people can network and meet up.
- Messages: Any messages you send or receive can are kept here.
Before we move onto the mechanics of the site, I just want to mention the small menu system you will find on the left-hand side of the page.
It’s called Connections and includes:
- Messages you’ve received
- Users who liked your profile
- Users who liked your photo
- Users who have favorited you
- Users who have winked at you
If you are on the home page you will also see a hand quick search menu where you can fire off searches with the following parameters;
- The gender you are looking for
- Their age range
- Their location (country as well as the state or province)
Now that you have a good idea of how to navigate the site as well as what each of the menu buttons do, you probably want to start to look for potential matchups.
As mentioned already, you can do this by looking through the member feeds on the main page, or by scrolling through new members that have joined the site.
Searching for matchups on MillionaireMatch
But as with any other dating site, the main way you are going to look for matchups is by using the search engine that MillionaireMatch provides.
It’s just that as a regular user, you are a little hamstrung in this regard?
Well, for the reason that for those who aren’t paying members, the search engine is a little simple in the fact that it only provides a few parameters for you to adjust as you search.
- The gender you are seeking
- Their age range
- Their location
And that’s it.
If you click on the search menu, you will notice a range of other search options but they are only reserved for members.
I will cover these in key features below.
Listen, it’s not like the regular search engine won’t turn up matches for you it’s just that if you like adding parameters based on appearance or lifestyle, you can’t.
So that means a lot more time spent going through each match to see if they pass your requirements.
For those of us that are less picky when it comes to matchups, that’s not too much of a problem.
Once you’ve found someone that you’d like to get into contact with, can you message them effectively as a regular user?
Contacting potential matchups on MillionaireMatch
Getting into contact with other users isn’t possible on the site if you are not a paying member.
MillionaireMatch is not the only dating site that does it this way.
The people that run these dating sites know that if you find someone you’d like to message or someone message you, hiding the option to send a message or reply behind a paywall is the biggest reason why users become members.
So yes, if you want to message someone on MillionaireMatch, you’d have to look into one of the membership packages on the site.
So if you do sign up to become a member, you can expect the following key features.
You need to be able to message someone to make a dating site works.
That’s the first key feature that I would like to highlight on MillionaireMatch.
And the only way you can get it is if you become a paying member.
The messaging system isn’t anything to write home about but it works and you can send off as many messages as you like and read any replies that you receive or messages from other users that are reaching out to you.
Dating sites love roulette-style matchup games and Spark is the one you will find on MillionaireMatch.
Here you are presented with potential matchups but you only get to see their profile picture.
You can either like them or move onto the next person.
While Spark is available to normal users, it’s only as a member that you can see people who have matched with you.
It’s a fun way to find potential matchups, that’s for sure.
As a member, you have so many more search parameters that you can access when looking for your perfect match.
These are all based on user profiles and include:
- Appearance (height, body type, etc.)
- Lifestyle parameters (habits, etc.)
- Relationship status
- If they have children
- And more
But there are so many other searches you can make that are only available for members.
Let me highlight a few of them:
- VIP member searches
- Millionaire/income searches
- Location-based searches
- New members searches
- Reverse matches searches
- Premium members searches
- Certified millionaire searches
That’s a whole bunch of extra searches and a few of them are obviously exclusive to MillionaireMatch, for example, the certified millionaire search.
It adds another string to your bow in your efforts to find that perfect matchup, that’s for sure.
4. Member luxuries
Feel like showing off a bit?
Well, as a member, you can.
And that’s by posting photos of your luxuries for all other members and users to see.
Here you can post a picture of your latest sportscar, your $20 000 watches or your lavish 10-bedroom home.
Post whatever luxury you want!
5. First date ideas
While posting first date ideas under the community menu isn’t a members-only feature, only members can give their comments on these ideas.
It’s just another way that you can communicate with someone without using the message system.
It’s not such a big deal but it’s there none-the-less.
6. Profile bumping
As a member, your profile is always towards the top of other user searches if you are within their search parameters, of course.
That means they see you before they see regular users.
This is the perfect way to promote yourself without having to do anything on your side.
7. See if users have read their messages and how often they respond
This is a very useful feature as you it’s important to know if users are active on-site and whether they are actually reading your messages.
Both these two features help in that regard.
Those membership features are better than a lot of other dating sites have to offer, that’s for sure.
But how much are you going to pay to access them?
Well, I am sure you can guess that with a site that’s named MillionaireMatch, membership won’t come cheap.
And yes, you are right!
In fact, it’s one of the most expensive dating sites I’ve seen.
Before we get to the pricing, let me tell you about the length of the membership contracts first up.
You have a one-month option, a three-month option and finally, a six-month option.
And here’s a look at how much these are going to cost you.
- 1-month membership: $70.00
- 3-month membership: $170 ($56.67 per month)
- 6-month membership: $270.00 ($45.00 per month)
Yes, that’s expensive but I suppose if you are earning the big bucks, it’s a mere splash in the pond.
And that’s why those that run the site know they can charge that kind of money for membership.
Again, if you do count your pennies – after all, that might be what helped you become a millionaire – you can take the longer membership options to make some kind of saving when compared to the month-to-month package at least.
Conclusion and Overall Rating
For me, the concept behind MillionaireMatch is pretty interesting.
It’s very similar to a sugar daddy/sugar baby website but those who run the site go to great lengths to say their site isn’t run in that manner.
This is no fly-by-night dating site.
It’s been around for ages now and has an extremely strong userbase, so clearly, it’s the kind of dating site that while niche, is in demand.
The site is packed with features if you are a member and it’s only by becoming a member that you will be able to reach out to the matchups you find.
I spoke in my review about the ease of use of the site and yes, it’s simple and effective but it could use with a redesign because, frankly put, it’s a little boring.
So let’s get onto a rating then.
I will give MillionaireMatch a solid 3.5 out of 5.
If you flash the cash or are the kind of persona millionaires would want to date, then by all means, check it out.
