Who Is It For?/Demographics

So it’s not difficult to see who Senior Sizzle for because it’s right there in the name.

And while this site is for seniors to meet other seniors it’s also for older people to hook up with younger people too.

But as part of the FriendFinder network of dating sites, long-term relationship (like eHarmony is known for) is not what’s being promoted here.

No, Senior Sizzle is without a doubt a hookup site (like BeNaughty or Ashley Madison), one where people, when they do meet, do so with a no strings attached mindset.

I am not saying you can’t find long-term love here but that’s not the primary intention of Senior sizzle, that’s for sure.

By the numbers

It took a lot of research to find out how many users have joined Senior Sizzle over the years.

The claim is around 77 million worldwide but this includes figures from other FriendFinder sites in terms of user numbers that fall into older age categories.

Bearing that in mind 35 million users from these networks are American.

As for age groups, well I did say that Senior Sizzle was not only for older people but younger people who want to date them.

That’s reflected in the fact that 25% of the users are under 40 years old.

The remaining 75%, however, are 40 and above with 40% of that coming from the 55+ and over age group.

During my time on the site, I found the age figures as above pretty accurate to what’s claimed by Senior Sizzle.

Lastly, the gender ratio for the site sees men dominate by 2:1.

Ease of Use

Sites that form part of the FriendFinder network like Senior Sizzle does take a little longer to sign-up for.

That’s because there are a few more steps that you need to complete to confirm your profile.

There is no option to close this but don’t sign up straight away.

Using the website

So the design of Senior Sizzle is very much like the rest of the websites in the FriendFinder network.

To move around your site, you will be making use of the nine menus that you can see at the top of the screen.

These menus will take you to all the other parts of the site where you can launch searches, use sight features, view your profile and more.

Let’s look at each of these menus in a little more detail:

• Mailbox: If you’ve sent a mail message to someone or received mail messages, they will be found here.
• Instant message: Instant messaging is a way to communicate with others and you can do so by clicking on this icon.
• Notifications: If there’s something that you need to be alerted to, for example, someone liked your profile, you will receive a notification here.
• My Stuff: From this menu, you can find any profiles you have favorited, see your favorite videos or photos of other users, edit your profile and more.
• Search: If you’d like to launch a search for matchups this is the menu item you would need to click to do so.
• Live-action: Click here for live-action webcams
• Community: Here you can find blogs of other members as well as groups that you can join.

If you’ve used a FriendFinder website before, you’d be used to all these icons.

If not, it can be a little overwhelming as there are many more than you’d normally find on a dating site.

I am sure you’d agree with me that Senior Sizzlers has so many ways that you can launch a search for a potential matchup.

Sadly though, as with other FriendFinder affiliated sites, when it comes to contacting them, your hands are tied for the most part.

To do so effectively and to see members that have gold profiles, you are going to have to purchase some form of membership.

Without it, your options to communicate with someone are non-existent.

But membership is not only about getting the chance to message someone.

It includes many other key features.

Let’s look at a few of them.

Key Features

So what key features can you expect on Senior Sizzlers that come available to you after you sign up for membership.

Well, the first is not on the most obvious but for me, it’s the most critical in making the site work.

1. Send and receive messages

As a member of Senior Sizzlers, you not only have the ability to read messages that you will receive but you can reply to them as well.

You are also free to message any matchup that you come across that you would like to get to know better.

2. View other member videos as well as photos

Many members on the site not only have extra photos of themselves but also videos.

As a regular user, you are not able to view those but as a member, you can see all photos in full size as well as play all videos posted by other members on their profiles.

3. Contests

Senior Sizzlers often hold various contests on the site.

These are available for members and you can see the past contest winners as well as upcoming contests to decide if you want to enter or note.

Let’s get onto pricing.

The main package that you can purchase when it comes to membership on Senior Sizzle is the Gold membership package.

But there is something else that you need to know about membership as well.

For certain aspects of the site, you will need to purchase tokens.

After we’ve discussed the price of the Gold membership, I will get into what tokens are and what they are for.

Gold membership will unlock everything on the site and here is how much it is going to cost

• 1-month membership – $39.95
• 3-months membership – $80.85 ($26.95 per month)
• 12-months membership – $239.40 ($19.95 per month)

This pricing is on par with many of the sites in the FriendFinder network.

It is pretty pricey, however.

Of course, if you’d like to pay for a 12-month membership, you can make significant savings.

You’ve got to weigh that up against the fact that you will be paying a large lump sum and whether you will in fact use the site for a 12-month period.

If you the answer is yes to both of those questions, then certainly that’s the way you should go to make that saving.

But what about tokens?

How do they work and do you need them?

Tokens can be bought on the site by members as well as regular users.

They unlocked other portions of the site related the models that you find on sites run by FriendFinder.

So what’s the cost of tokens then?

Well, here is a breakdown:

• 500 tokens @ $50
• 1000 tokens @ $99

With tokens, you are able to interact with live models and even direct their actions.

Lastly, you can join model fan clubs for $14.95 per month or $32.85 for thee months.

To be honest, for me, this is all about making extra money for the site and it’s got nothing to really do with hooking up with someone at all.

Conclusion and Overall Rating

Before I give my overall rating, let’s first talk a little about Senior Sizzle.

This is an out and out hook up site, without a doubt.

It’s for older people who want a casual date, no strings attached sex or a longer fling perhaps.

You are going to find very little people looking for long-term love, that’s for sure.

And like all other sites on the FriendFinder network, the site is pretty in your face.

That means a lot of advertising, particularly for XXX-rated models.

If you don’t like that kind of thing, it can be a little off-putting but luckily, you have the option to tone down what you see in with a content filter which you can set to your preferences.

When it comes to users numbers, I don’t think there is any way that Senior Sizzle has the number of people making use of the site that FriendFinder claim.

I would guess that those numbers refer to their whole network of sites.

That said, for those who live in larger metropolitan areas, particularly in the United States, you will be able to find plenty of matchups to browse through.

On the whole, the features that Senior Sizzle offers isn’t all that impressive and the token system is all about using the extras the site has to offer.

You don’t need to use them at all if you don’t want to.

You are going to need a membership, however, to facilitate communication with others, and for me, that’s a little pricey (but necessary, of course).

One thing that does really impress me is the fact that Senior Sizzle offers so many search options over and above the regular tried and trusted method you see on all dating sites.

And a rating for Senior Sizzle?

I’m giving it a solid 3.25 out of 5.

It’s a site that delivers what it claims on and if you are older and looking for someone to hook up with, then this is a site you may well be interested in.

I just think it could be even better.

There seems to be too much of a focus on additions, like the models for example when more focus could be paid on delivering the best experience for the money you are going to part with.
